Celebrating Eid: A Festival of Joy and Generosity Eid, one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar, is celebrated by millions around the world. Marking the culmination of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, Eid signifies a time of spiritual reflection, community bonding, and rejoicing. The festival is divided into two main celebrations: Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha, celebrated approximately 70 days later in honor of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God.
